NFL PreSeason Week 4 Betting Picks

NFL Week 4 Predictions Thursday, August 30, 2018

Miami Dolphins at Atlanta Falcons, Mercedes-Benz Stadium – 7 p.m. ET

Week 4 of the NFL betting preseason is the last time teams get to show the opposition what they’re made of heading into the regular season. Position battles will be solidified for some teams while others already know what they will bring to the table come Week 1. That is exactly the case when the Atlanta Falcons play host to the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night from Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Falcons are veteran heavy while the Dolphins have had some question marks thus far. Look for them to try and smooth those over come the final whistle of this week’s exhibition. Click for more

Indianapolis Colts at Cincinnati Bengals, Paul Brown Stadium – 7 p.m. ET

As the regular NFL betting season approaches, the Cincinnati Bengals get set to welcome the Indianapolis Colts into town on Thursday night for a clash at Paul Brown Stadium. Both these teams struggled last season with the Colts losing Andrew Luck for the year and the Bengals having typical Bengal issues. However, these two teams will look to prove they’ve put those struggles behind them in this final tune up of the preseason. The returning Luck more than likely will not play along with the other starters for the Colts, while the starters for the Bengals will also more than likely sit out this final game. Click for more

Cleveland Browns at Detroit Lions, Ford Field – 7 p.m. ET

In Week 4 NFL preseason betting, the Detroit Lions will welcome the Cleveland Browns into Ford Field for the final game of their respective preseason slates. The Browns defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 5-0 in a defensive struggle last week, while the Lions also won in Week 3 action pulling off a miraculous 20-point fourth quarter comeback to beat the Buccaneers 33-30. Despite dislocating his pinky, Tyrod Taylor was able to get back in the game. However, look for head coach Hue Jackson, to get an extra look at Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield in case he has to suit up and make his NFL debut earlier than anticipated. Click for more...

New England Patriots at New York Giants, MetLife Stadium – 7 p.m. ET

The New England Patriots will travel thirty or so minutes west of the Big Apple to face the New York Giants. Sadly, this won’t be quite as exciting as Superbowl 46, as the backups will be playing a bulk of the game for their respective squads. During Week 3 NFL betting action, the Patriots fell 25-14 in their dress rehearsal to the Carolina Panthers ultimately suffering the first defeat in the 2018 preseason. For the Giants, they defeated the New York Jets 22-16 in the Snoopy Bowl, improving to 2-1 in the exhibition season. Click for more...

New York Jets at Philadelphia Eagles, Lincoln Financial Field – 7 p.m. ET

In the final week of preseason football, the J-E-T-S, will be heading to Lincoln Financial Field to take on the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles against the NFL betting odds. This game most definitely won’t feature any Super Bowl caliber players which will be a reoccurring theme throughout the league in Week 4 with the backups getting the most burn. The Eagles failed to fly getting shut out by the Browns in a very baseball like 5-0 final score last week, while the Jets fell to the Giants 22-16 in the Snoopy Bowl. Click for more...

Carolina Panthers at Pittsburgh Steelers, Heinz Field – 7:30 p.m. ET

Week 3 action saw the Carolina Panthers defeat the New England Patriots 25-14 to remain undefeated against the NFL odds in preseason play. The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Tennessee Titans 16-6. Now we move to Week 4 and the final tune-ups for both squads. If this was a regular season matchup, Cam Newton and Ben Roethlisberger would lead their respective teams out onto the Heinz Field gridiron Thursday night. There is no reason for either of these teams to play their regular players and risk injury a week before the regular season. Nonetheless, this could still be an exciting matchup. Click for more...

Jacksonville Jaguars at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Raymond James Stadium – 7:30 p.m. ET

It will be the battle of I-75 when the Jacksonville Jaguars head southwest to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium on Thursday night. The Jags will hope not to have to walk the plank to a loss in NFL Betting action as Bortles and company sit this meaningless Week 4 game out. Don’t expect to see many of the Buc’s regular either. Nonetheless, this battle of Florida teams will be fun because of the beautiful weather that is guaranteed at kickoff. Click for more...

Washington Redskins at Baltimore Ravens, M&T Bank Stadium – 7:30 p.m. ET

It’s a battle of Maryland as the Washington Redskins travel about an hour north from their home field in Landover to Baltimore to face the Ravens for Week 4 preseason football betting action. Last week the ‘Skins took a loss to the Denver Broncos by a score of 29-17. Meanwhile, the Ravens dominated the Miami Dolphins in South Beach 27-10. The Ravens come in to this game undefeated at 4-0 ( Hall of Fame game included ), while the Redskins enter 1-2 in the exhibition season. Click for more...

Buffalo Bills at Chicago Bears, Soldier Field – 8 p.m. ET

Thursday night in Chicago, the Chicago Bears will welcome the Buffalo Bills into Soldier Field for a final preseason NFL Betting matchup before the going gets tough. Bears first year coach, Matt Nagy has yet to show what the Bears offense will truly look like when the games really count. The first true opportunity won’t come until Week 1, as the starters will most likely be suited up but on the sidelines supporting the backups just like they were last week. Same goes for the Bills, but they still have a quarterback battle to figure out amongst other roster spots. Click for more...

Minnesota Vikings at Tennessee Titans, Nissan Stadium – 8 p.m. ET

Opening Line: Titans -1, 36.5

On Thursday night the Minnesota Vikings will travel to the Music City to tangle with the Tennessee Titans for preseason Week 4 football betting action. Last week saw the Vikings win a nail biter against the Seahawks 21-20. In the Steel City, we saw the Titans lose a low scoring game to the Pittsburgh Steelers 16-6. With the Titans at 0-3 and at the verge of a winless preseason, look for head coach Mike Vrabel to change things up in hopes of getting his squad’s confidence up. Meanwhile, the Vikings will run through the motions with their backups with an eye on next week’s tilt with the Niners. Click for more...

Los Angeles Rams at New Orleans Saints, New Orleans Superdome – 8 p.m. ET

Opening Line: Saints -4, 38.5

Thursday night the Los Angeles Rams will travel to the Big Easy to take on the New Orleans Saints inside the Louisiana Superdome in Week 4 preseason NFL betting action. This will be the final tune up for both teams and you can be rest assured that none of the starters will be playing as these two teams are poised to be two of the best in the NFC this upcoming season. Both come in with a record of 2-1. Click for more...

Dallas Cowboys at Houston Texans, NRG Stadium – 8 p.m. ET

Opening Line: Texans –4, 36.5

A battle of the Lone Star State is set to go down in Week 4 preseason NFL betting action when the Dallas Cowboys travel via I-45 to take on the Houston Texans from NRG Stadium. Last week we saw the Cowboys struggle against the Cardinals, losing 27-3. For the Texans, they suffered a heartbreaking 21-20 defeat to the Rams. We won’t see Houston’s starters, but since the Cowboys are 0-3 in the preseason, it’s possible some starters try to gain some momentum heading into Week 1.Click for more...

Green Bay Packers at Kansas City Chiefs, Arrowhead Stadium – 8:30 p.m. ET

Opening Line: Chiefs –4, 39

Both the Packers and the Chiefs went through some changes in the off-season, but one thing that won’t be different come Week 1 of the NFL betting season is that Aaron Rodgers will be back from his collarbone injury that sidelined him the remainder of last year. Both head coaches will be playing their backups on Thursday as they figure out the remaining kinks in the rosters. This won’t change the fact that Arrowhead Stadium will be still rocking for this final preseason tune-up! Click for more...

Denver Broncos at Arizona Cardinals, U of Phoenix Stadium – 9 p.m. ET

Opening Line: Cardinals -3, 37.5

In the final week of the exhibition season, the Denver Broncos will travel to the desert to run with the Arizona Cardinals. In Week 3 of NFL betting action, the Broncos were in the nation's capital where they beat the Washington Redskins 29-17. Head coach Steve Wilks’ Cardinals were in the Lone Star State, where they thrashed the Dallas Cowboys 27-3. We most likely will not see any starters on Thursday night, so it will be up to young guys like Chad Kelly, Josh Rosen and the rest of the backups to perform in this final tune-up. Click for more...

Los Angeles Chargers at San Francisco 49ers, Levi’s Stadium – 10 p.m. ET

Opening Line: 49ers -3.5, 36.5

The Los Angeles Chargers will travel down PCH on Thursday night to lock horns with the San Francisco 49ers in NFL betting action by the Bay at Levi’s Stadium. The Bolts have been struggling with injuries on the defensive side of the ball this preseason as both Casey Heyward and Jason Verrett have gone down with injuries. While Verrett is out for the season, Heyward has a promising prognosis and could return for Week 1 of the regular season. After finishing last season with five straight wins, Jimmy G will get his shot at a full season as the Niners play caller. Look for him and Philip Rivers to ride the pine and root on the backups in both teams preseason finale. Click for more...

Oakland Raiders at Seattle Seahawks, CenturyLink Field – 10 p.m. ET

The Oakland Raiders will travel North via the I-5 to pay a visit to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4 preseason NFL betting action. The Raiders came away with a hard-fought defensive 13-6 victory over the Packers to move to 2-1 SU & ATS in their exhibitions. The Seahawks dropped a tough 21-20 decision to the Vikings 21-20 to remain winless. Pete Carroll looks to raise team spirits with a victory back home against the Raiders in front of the 12th Man.
